Incidents of tantrums in children occur because of excess emotion and sadness or excessive anger. Parents can take appropriate action to prevent temper tantrums.This study aims to identify the actions of parents in preventing temper tantrums in preschool age children. The research design uses a literature review.Data collection procedure using organize, synthesize, identify, and formulate. The journals studied were 10 journals taken from Portal Garuda, Google Schoolar, Proquest, and Atlantis Press using the keywords "parental actions" and "temper tantrums" for national journals and "parent" and "temper tantrums" for international journals. The time span used is 2017-2021. The results of a journal review show that there are actions by parents in preventing temper tantrums. The results of journal analysis in children with temper tantrums can be overcome by being calm and encouraging children to express their mistakes, and communicating well with children, so that children can understand their mistakes, also through cooperative games that can reduce temper tantrums in children.
