Hand hygiene five moments is a program carried out by WHO for the prevention of HAIs. The implementation of this program is influenced by various things such as the motivation and compliance of nurses in the five moments of hand hygiene. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was the corelation between nurse motivation and the compliance level at five moments hand hygiene in prevention of hais during the covid-19 pandemic at upt pkm kec. Pacet Regency. Mojokerto. The design of this research is correlational analysis with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all nurses in the inpatient room, emergency department and poly with a total of 17 nurses at UPT PKM Pacet. Sampling using total sampling technique. The independent variable is the nurse's motivation and the dependent is the nurse's compliance. Data were taken using questionnaires and observations. After the data was collected, data processing was carried out and continued with the Spearman Rho statistical test with the help of SPSS version 22.0. The results show p (0.002) < (0.05), so Hᴏ is rejected, meaning that there was the corelation between nurse motivation and the compliance level at five moments hand hygiene in prevention of hais during the covid-19 pandemic at upt pkm kec. Pacet Regency. Mojokerto. With a value of r = 0.700 the level of closeness of the corelation is strong. Motivation is needed by nurses to comply with the five moments of hand hygiene. With high nurse motivation, it can affect nurse compliance in carrying out work and carrying out five-moment hand hygiene according to the SOP that has been set to be effective so that the spread of disease can be minimized and the environment is protected from infection With the supervision and role mode by the leadership, it is hoped that it can increase the motivation of nurses in order to increase the compliance of the five-moment hand hygiene
