Post stroke treatment is the hardest and longest treatment. Patience and patient and family calm are indispensable. The problem is, in carrying out the role of caregiver, the family does prevention effort decubitus either acts done or not done not because understand very clearly what the purpose of the action but only because of the habit or instinct to help and protect the patient. This study aims to determine the family perception of the importance of prevention of decubitus in stroke patients in Dr Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Public Hospital Mojokerto City. The design of this study was descritive. The population in this study were all families of stroke patients in Neurology Poly Dr Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Public Hospital Mojokerto City. The April 2018 population was 101 people. Sampling technique of this study was consecutive sampling so that got sample of 80 people. This study was conducted on June 25-July 7, 2018. Variables in this study was the family's perception of the prevention of decubitus. The instrument used was questionnaire. Data analysis used descriptive analysis. The results of this study suggested that respondents who had positive perceptions about prevention of decubitus as many as 50 people (62.5%), and respondents who had negative perceptions as many as 30 people (37.5%). This indicated that the family of stroke patients had positive perceptions about the prevention of decubitus. Positive perception is caused by family members who suffer from stroke is long so that respondents are often faced with medical personnel where respondents can dig and receive precise information about the effort of prevention decubitus.
